MK31 Club Series - CASCADE 31 consists of two simple towers yet complex in their concept with Cascading terracing sunken garden facilities.

 

The unique site with valley land gives a spark idea to create a Sunken Cascading Terrace Sanctuary. We can see this cascading terrace idea in Bali terracing rice fields which correlate with UEM’s intention to create Dutch Batavian approach idea concept.

 

Residents approaching the site will be welcomed by the Entrance portal statement with a glimpse of 1st main tower. Passing through the main gate, residents of tower 1 will be greeted by the main drop-off below the cantilever facilities portal.

 

At the ground level, the resident will not be able to see the full scale of the Club facilities. They will greed by the series of cascading canopies leading toward the infinity swimming pool spending across the garden.

 

The residents will be amazed when they start walking down the ramps and experiencing the cascading landscape and activities. The residence will enjoy the terracing landscape and facilities provided with an abundance of light and shade.

 

The facilities provided include a 50m Olympic size swimming pool with infinities edge, sunken children’s pool, and jacuzzi.

 

Active sports facilities include tennis courts, basketball courts, a gymnasium, a sauna, and spa facilities. Elderly exercise area, Taichi area, chess garden, and foot massage spot. Children’s playground, daycare, and nursery. This design also brings in natural light to the carpark.

 

Finally, we have provided a 105m length X 18m width golf putting green area for the golf lover.

 

The Architecture of Cascade 31 consists of two simple vertical square shape towers covered with vertical sun shading panels inspired by the Dutch Batavian paneling detail.

 

It started with the unique unit layout that gives each resident CORNER living, dining, and dry kitchen view toward the greenery and city across Mont-Kiara. Each bedroom can have a 90 degrees view toward the city with a floor-to-ceiling height glass façade.

 

Instead of having a straight vertical tower, we break the tower into 2 cubes, and 1 tower. The separated floor will capture the M&E requirement and some facilities. The break also gives a sense of scale in high-rise design and a new character that gives a distinct in its kinds. With these simple designs, it was added some spice with random cabanas and balconies for each unit will make Cascade 31 the ‘talk of the town’s development.

 

The tower structure will consist of shear wall systems with transfer columns at the ground floor lobby area and basement carpark. The shear wall allows structure integration into walls without large columns that protruded into bedrooms space.
